The Early Years

It was apparent to John’s parents from an early age that their son possessed a keen intellect and was very attentive. These personality traits would only grow over the years. As John grew up, he would regularly go to work with his father at the local docks and boatyards. It was there that he learned many mechanical skills that would serve him well later in life. One of the first business ventures that John had was a small car dealership in Flatbush, NY. He bought the dealership in 1978, and quickly turned it into one of the most successful Oldsmobile dealerships in the area. In fact, his dealership was a regular on the “Top 100” dealerships list printed annually by Wards Automotive.

Family

John grew up enjoying the large, family dinners he and his relatives commonly had. They would routinely sit around the dinner table for hours exchanging wonderful stories and enjoying fantastic home cooked meals. One of John’s favorite relatives was his grandfather, John Adam Bassett, who was a decorated United States Naval Officer. His grandfather had changed his last name from Rosatti to Bassett in order to avoid discrimination in the workplace. He served valiantly during World War II, and his heroics are documented in the book, “Force Mulberry: The Planning and Installation of the Artificial Harbor of U.S. Normandy Beaches in WWII” (Whitehead Press). It was from his grandfather that John Rosatti learned the importance of a hard day’s work.

Business Success

When John was growing up in Brooklyn, he learned to appreciate the large family dinners he and his relatives would regularly have. They would all come over to John’s family’s small apartment and eat and tell stories for hours. One of John’s favorite relatives was his grandfather, John Bassett, who changed his name to avoid discrimination in the workplace. John’s grandfather was an officer in the United States Navy, and served his country valiantly during World War II.

Personal Loss

In 1997, Mr. Rosatti’s father was killed in a horrible automobile accident. It occurred after his father had come down to visit the family in Florida. In the year 2000, John’s beloved wife, Bonni, was also killed in a car crash. John was left with three young children to care for. John channeled his grief into his businesses and became even more successful. He wanted to make sure that his kids would be well looked after, so he employed the help of family and friends to help him raise the children.

Eventually, John decided to relocate his family to South Florida. There, he met and married his long-time girlfriend, Dawn. After moving to Florida, John developed a passion for sailing. He and his family would spend weekends enjoying time with one another on one of his favorite boats. In 2002, John made a generous donation to the Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, FL, where his kids attended, of a million dollars. This money funded what is known as the Rosatti Administration/Library and Media Center, and was named in the honor of his late wife, Bonni. John Rosatti has led a full life, yet still has many productive and exciting years ahead of him. He has been successful in the world of business, and has raised a lovely family. He has also been able to overcome personal tragedies that would have devastated a lesser man. He is the embodiment of the American dream. John Rosatti is an individual who has experienced immense success in his career while enjoying a tight-knit, loving family at home.

While working he acquired a mechanical skill set, this lead him to a successful career in the car industry. By the age of 21 he was married to his first wife Joann. He opened his first of many car dealerships. This turned out to be a very successful route for him as he went on to be named as a top 100 dealership many times by Ward’s automotive. John successfully developed a group f dealerships at the Plaza Auto Mall. This allowed him to further expand his dealerships to New York, New Jersey, and Florida.

After 18 years of marriage, John and Joann made the mutual decision to get a divorce. However, the two remain friends to this day. After a few more years of hard work expanding his empire, John met and married his second wife, Bonni. They were married on the island of St. Thomas, surrounded by friends and family, and moved to Brooklyn to start a family. They had three children together, who grew up attending church and Catholic schools in the Brooklyn area. In 1997, John lost his father in a horrible car accident. Three years later, John also lost his beloved wife, Bonni, to a serious car accident. Left with three young children to care for, John began spending more time at home raising the kids, while also running his many business ventures.

After much consideration John decided to move his family to South Florida. He threw himself into his work and business ventures. Today he can now enjoy his hard work and dedication with his family and his newfound dedicated girlfriend Dawn. Despite tragedy John has lived a full and adventurous life. He is truly the American dream, proving that hard work, dedication, and perseverance can reign over tragedy. He is a man who should be admired not only for his business pursuits and flare, but also for his fortitude. He currently enjoys spending time on his boat with his family and enjoying working on his many business ventures, including yachting.

Tikal

Tikal was the capital of a conquest state that grew to be one of the most powerful kingdoms during the time of the ancient Mayans. History

The ancient city of Tikal has been restored partially by the University of Pennsylvania and Guatemala. It is one of the biggest Mayan cities of the Classic period and is also one of the largest cities in the Americas. Even before the actual excavations began, the locals new of the ancient city, it wasn’t until 1951 when a small airstrip was built near the ruins that the Tikal Project got underway.
